FND University is an online distance learning platform sponsored by Family Network on Disabilities. FND University allows you to take a variety of trainings from the comfort of your own home or office. This fully interactive training platform also enables you to keep a transcript of all of your courses and receive a certificate of completion as each one is completed. Trainings include topics such as Understanding IDEA, Parental Engagement, Effective Communication, Conflict Resolution, and many more. Many of the courses being offered through FND University are accredited and may be allowed to count toward Continuing Education Credits.

The Wallet Card Project is a free tool for teenagers and adults who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It is designed to help them communicate clearly with law enforcement or first responders. The Wallet Card Project is collaboration between the University of Miami-Nova Southeastern University Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (UM-NSU CARD), the Coral Gables Police Department, and Disability Independence Group (DIG). Florida HATS Insurance Guide for Young Adults

FYI Transition is an interactive website that uses video modules and avatars to provide students, caregivers, and professionals with information about transition planning.

Job Accommodation Network explains workplace accommodations and the Americans with Disabilities Act and provides information about tax credits for employers.

Project 10 (Transition Education Network) is the Florida Department of Education’s hub of information related to transition for students with disabilities.

Social Security offers two types of benefits to adults with disabilities. Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI). Medicaid and/or Medicare are also benefits of these programs. Information about various work incentive programs is available through the Red Book.

Vocational Rehabilitation provides assistance to persons with disabilities in order to find and maintain employment, including vocational assessments, assistance with job training, and job coaching.
